Once you have invested in any of these A2Z Ozone generators, from the Aqua-8, SP-Series, MP-Series, it is important to protect it.
Condensation and water will damage your ozone generator. There are ways to reduce moisture. Those efforts will help protect your ozone generator from humidity. Reducing humidity cuts down on internal issues like mildew and corrosion. A2Z Ozone sells a line of several air-drying technologies.
Note, the Aqua-6 does not have capabilities to use the Silica Air Dryer.
Our Silica Air Dryer is the simplest unit we offer. It attaches to your ozone generator with copper fittings. It is most effective with the SP-Series, MP-Series and Aqua-8.
NOTE: A2Z Ozone created the Silica Air Dryer for use with our ozone generators. It is not made to withstand high pressure. Run the air dryer under a vacuum with the open end to an atmospheric pressure of 1 to 2 PSI.
Occasionally, the Silica Air Dryer gets full of moisture, changing the color of the beads. The blue beads turn pink. That has an easy fix. Place the beads in the oven at 100 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Gently bake until they return to their original color. That usually takes less than 15 minutes.
Even though the process is simple and does not take much time, our sales department recommends purchasing two dryers. That way, you have one at the ready when it is time to bake the beads. These types of things do not always happen at convenient times.

Great price and product! I have a 125 gallon reef tank and had a cheap $35 red sea dryer. This one is 1/3 the price and way thicker plastic and more drier beads! Plus it has a sponge filter and a o-ring. For the price, any reefer / fresh water person (running ozone) should be all over this item! Toss beads in oven at 250F until they return to blue (from purple)…back to new! LOVE IT
