Water Ozonation
While every unit in both our Aqua Series and MP Series are used to ozonate water, they do have their differences. For example, some run for longer periods than others. Most can be connected to oxygen generators, but not all. But they all require diffuser stones and tubing or a PVDF Venturi Injector for best results. The tubing and stones come with all water units, but if you need a Venturi Injector, you will have to visit this page.
Things to consider
-
Amount of water needing to be ozonated
- Contaminants in your water
-
If the unit needs to be used continuously
-
How much ozone production you need for your application
-
Whether you need an oxygen generator (for a purer ozone output)

Light-Duty MP-Series Ozone Generators
The MP-Series Ozone Generators are suitable for households that need a strong solution to their water ozonation needs.
Uses for the MP-Series Ozone Generators
In tandem with filtration, many people use ozone generators for treating a container of water from their wells.
Farmers will use the MP-Series Ozone Generators in agriculture. Some use ozone with small irrigation systems and then clean their produce. Small-scale aquaculture is also a suitable use for the MP-Series Ozone Generators. The MP-Series Ozone Generators can also provide crystal-clear water in fountains, small pools, or ponds.
While the MP-Series ozone generator is the light-duty ozonator, it is a sturdy solution to hefty ozonation. A light-duty ozone generator that is priced to sell, you can find them at our MP-Series Collection Page.
Differences within the MP-Series
The MP-1000 Ozone Generator does not have a continuous function as the other MP-Series units do. Also, each MP-Series ozone generator is named with a number after its name that represents the maximum amount of ozone it can produce with oxygen connected.
Similarities within the Light-Duty MP-Series Family
Other than that, the ozone generators all work similarly. All MP-Series Ozone Generators have an internal compressor in case you do not wish to connect an oxygen generator, sold at this page on our website. Producing the ozone with an oxygen source will provide a more pure form of ozone with a higher concentration. The important thing to remember when selecting an oxygen source is the regulator. Make sure your regulator LPM matches the ozone machine. (See chart above.)
Testing the Ozone
Shortly after applying ozone, it is important to test your ozonation. Ensure that you test between 0.4 and 0.6 ppm. It is important to maintain the ozone level for 4 minutes. The reason is you need that much ozone to handle contaminants.
Testing the Water
You can test your water before using the ozone generator to find the contaminants in your water. That will assist you in determining a plan of action. You can call us with the results, and we can help guide you on how to approach the setup. You can also read more about setting up a filtration system in this blog post. Then, it is essential that you test after ozonation so that you can ensure your water is safe. You will need to find a reputable testing facility and send a water sample. Check your local listings for the health department. According to EPA, you can contact Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 800-426-4791. For more information, see U. S. EPA Home Water Testing Fact Sheet.
Aqua-Series Ozone Generators
The Aqua-Series Ozone Generators make the perfect addition to a kitchen. In this article, I will go into detail about the Ozone Faucet Aerator. This handy accessory will allow you to get ozonated water straight from your tap. It works with either the Aqua-6 or Aqua-8 Ozone Generators.
Uses for the Aqua-Series Ozone Generators
People use these personal ozonators for many applications. Cleaning water is the most frequent. Cleaning fruits and vegetables and regular household cleaning are some other uses.
The Differences Between the Aqua-8 Ozone Generator and the Aqua-6 Ozone Generator
Aqua-6 Ozonator
The Aqua-6 ozone machine is the first member of the Aqua-Series. Its functions start at 2-minute one-time run on Function 1 to 30 minutes of ozone production repeating every 4 hours. These repeat functions can run without interruption throughout the day.
The Aqua-6 is priced economically. It does not have the ability to connect oxygen.
Aqua-8 Ozonator
The Aqua-8 Ozone Generator is a bit stronger than the Aqua-6 Ozone Generator. It has 18 settings, starting with a 30-second one-time run setting and going up to Function #18, which operates for 20 minutes every 4 hours. The Aqua-8 ozone machine has an oxygen connection. It also will handle a power outage differently than the Aqua-6 ozonator. If the Aqua-8 ozone machine is caught in an outage, it will start up where it left off in the ozonation process. So, if you have a continuous running function set up, you will not have to worry.
Testing
Testing the ozone levels and your contaminants in the water may be something you wish to do with the Aqua-Series Ozone Generators. See the discussion above in the MP-Series section to learn more.
